I failed my driving test. but i keep asking myself, why why why.
i fucking tried my best, including 3 lessons in the last week. if i fail a exam like frp i wont complain la, cos i fking deserve.. but this, why??

mistake number one , the tester is damn guai lan
mistake 2, i did not adjust the seat properly.
hmm i cant be bothered to mention all. All i can say is my instructor is partly responsible too, failing to correct me during practises.

Id camp is over, had great fun.....

im very pissed with the president of np cycling,i rush to get the claims ready yet he takes his own sweet time to submit. ANd i was kind enuf to help np cycling pay first.

talking about races, ttt we got 2nd.i just did not feel good.
hmm it seems the races that i look foward too , i dun do well.
but its the races that i go for fun like the cyclong sprint that i win.
Hmm for this upcoming nat race, nt sure if i can go.
imagine all the juniors not working,slow pace to the finish, ending in a bunch sprint.Wow then i got chance sia.

So we left np at 8pm, link up wif amirun at ten mile. Headed to Lck via the usual way. took a 15 min break. did 2 laps aka 12km. maintaining high speed is very hard, so now i respect justin for being able to maintain 40 for a long time.
Den nick had to shit. he ask the tenah air base ppl if he could go in shit. they gave him toilet paper and ask him go to the nearest petrol station shit. so we went to the petrol station. after that we went to to jln buroh ,did a lap of pandan reservior den broke off at JE mrt. den i went to oasis coffeeshop meet wilson collect my tire lever. brough shaker fries frm macs on e way back. hmm buyers we like to squeeze as much as possible out from a seller.
Today i my item arrive, i found out the shipping cost to be very expensive . I think the seller earn very little only by selling it to me. I just feel bad la...

next time before you bargain ask yourself how much the cost price is, from the supplier.

eg a cost price of a xtr groupset is $500. the bikeshop gets if for 2k from the supplier and sells to you for 2.1k. Dont be stupid and argue that the cost price is only 500, in this case the shop is only earning 100 from you. Ask yourself, if u get the xtr groupset for 2k, how much would you sell?

Honestly i dun think our singapore shimano parallel importers are earning alot, give them a break.

wow hahaha im very happy with yesterdays 1 hr driving lesson.all i did was practise to start off a incline slope. with that ability, i feel mor confident on the road.

Speaking of studies, all i wish is just to pass all modules...... a F up gpa is perfectly fine with me.

second thoughts

Just completed my first rodawest ride with a 8.5kg alu bike. The ride was so so bumpy, acclerations felt sluggish compared to my previous ride

I tend to miss my carbon frame, its both stiffer and more comfy. Wasted it have a shallow head angle and a long wheelbase, if not i would have kept it.

This scott geometry is much better, out of saddle surges felt more controlled.However ride is very bumpy. I wonder if the BMC streefire would be that bad too....

I am seriously wondering if the bmc with ultegra 6700 would be sub 8kg...., remembering my previous carbon bike was only 7.9 kg

Worth the $$$

i want value out of every single dollar. is $900 for a set of aero carbon wheels worth it? if it can resell for 800 or more to me its worth....

i belive there is a chance my new bike will be heavier then my current built as the frameset alone weight 350g more den my carbon frame:(

My bet for this race would be alvin poon(if he dun screw up) or Yan Han(who has been very consistent).

NP cycling direction

Now im really confused as to which direction to take. . . . Most of the guys are leaning to the pro side, as they see themselves improve ride after ride. Next week will be specific TTT training. Today was the first ride i said a prayer for safety every 5 mins. Thank God we are in one piece...

life is improving.

Im kinda satisfied now .. even though i dunno how to explain it.Cycling is a closed chapter in my life alr. doing badly at the brickland race motivated me even more. i really put in alot of effort in my sprint intervals. Well the result was worth it.....for the 200m sprint, i was able to feel the extra power need to pump into the pedal. Many thanks to jeff who taught me. well at least my "silly sprints" are worth 2 gold medals.

well i hope another chapter will start in the future. when i see u guys on the road, amirun ,tianfah,nick,daniel,jeremy,ryan,another daniel,wayne.... well i realise its a real joy to ride with you guys.without u guys,i would trade my bike for a tennis racket alr...

On to studies, well now its all about passing my modules and get on to semester 4..
some may say its too low a goal to just pass, well thats my target. study hard local uni also cannot make it,may i just dun have the potential to go there

IN the end i only sprint the downslope to 60k den slack for the rest or the loop and sprint again. my hb not even 130 i guess. i notice on fridays rides i can manage to suck justin and gain a good workout.cos maybe sat no sch thus i go all out.

After 18 years of waiting, i finally got to drive last night legally. Nice car btw honda city. driving aint simple. cos u have to do alot of things at the same time. Well in one session i perfected my steering and counter steering

Now on to cycling. i see myself cycling for 2 more years b4 ns . What do i wanna achieve during this 2 years? i cannot express with words. Some simple thoughts are

so now can focus on cycling alr. i realise i had a big problem spinning with a normal crank , too many high gears. tmr im gonna get a ultegra compact cranks r700 from a ang mo. Also visited rodalink ,failed to cut my seatpost bolt as it was poking my carbon saddle base. interim solution nw is to use fat tape to cushion it..Also inserted 8* shims into my shifters to bring the reach nearer, thanks to my short fingers.

arrggh now this is the bad part, i think my front hub is fucked. 1800km and not smooth alr knn. i wonder whats wrong with it.

Hmm back to the topic of opportunity costs....

If i din make the swich to bfs, i would remain in bs. definately i would be clinging on to joel,debrah and grace all day as well as be in the same classes and project groups as them.. sounds fun yeah, having your best pals around u in 24/7.

Finally riding

today clocked about 50km of cycling. Had a social ride with the np chaps. It was my first time as a ride leader and i think i done pretty well. Fwnr zipp by along us at lim chu kang rd. I wished i would be better terms with them and ride with them like a family. Target to build up the roadie by by bdae:)

Actually i wanted to wait till another time to blog about this.
But i cannot study till i do it. so i have to say wad i wanna say.

I started road biking seriously this year, and i totally fell in love with it. It was a real kick man. Imagina going downhill at 70km/h ! Thats almost as fast as a car man. The feeling is better then sex i guess haha...

Soon i felt my roadbike was not good enuf as it kept giving me handling probs which affected my safety. So i sold it away too make way for a better one

NOW I HAVE NO BIKE ! WHICH MAKES ME FEEL TOTALLY PATHETIC. But i praying hard that god would allow some1 to sell me A BMC,CERVELO OR GIANT at a good price .. i just came back frm swissvalley today and was told they dun have the sie and colour i want:(

Starting out

Now im in very distracted phrase of my life, without much goals and directions.

Firstly, i dun like to make new frens , i love to stick with my same old ppl for a lifetime. In year one , i had my fairfield buddies whom we stick together through every lunch. This year ,some of us changed course, all ended up if different classes. It felt as if everyone went their own way..... However i know true frens will always be there, so ill love to see how that unfold some day.
